Police launch probe into fatal motorcycle crash on rural Stirlingshire road

Forth Valley cops are appealing for information following a crash yesterday evening which claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

The accident took place at 7.50pm on the stretch of the A85 between St Fillans and Lochearnhead, with a black Kawasaki ZXD7F motorbike hurtling down an embankment while travelling westbound.

The 27-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Sergeant David Marr, from Forth Valley’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this time.

“We are conducting extensive enquiries into the circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“If you were in the area and witnessed the crash, or have any potential dashcam footage which could assist our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident 3199 of 1 September.”
