Police launch probe as cars left vandalised in Balloch

Police have launched enquiries after a number of Balloch residents awoke to find their cars keyed this morning.

Cars parked on Lomond Road in Levenvale were left damaged by a vandal or vandals who thoughtlessly struck the vehicles with a set of keys (or a similar instrument).

The vandalism is thought to been caused between 2pm and 10.15pm on April 11.

Strike action on the cards for West Dunbartonshire Council workers  

Sergeant Brian Simpson of Dumbarton Police Office said: “We have received calls about this and believe at least nine vehicles have been damaged.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
