Police launch probe after sudden death of a man 'inside a bus' on Dumbarton Road

Police were called to Dumbarton Road in Whiteinch following the sudden death of a man on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers are probing the incident and say they are treating the death of the 41-year-old as 'unexplained', however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

Witnesses described seeing forensic officers inspecting the inside of a bus at the location.

Locals said police placed black screens on the windows to prevent bystanders viewing inside as they worked.

They also described a private ambulance arriving later in the evening to remove the victim's body.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended Dumbarton Road, Glasgow around 4.45pm on Tuesday, 30 June, 2020 following the sudden death of a 41-year-old man.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. As with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
