Police launch investigation after woman pinned down in Bowdon home as masked robbers steal her Rolex watch

Police have launched an appeal after a woman's Rolex watch was stolen during a terrifying robbery in Trafford.

The victim was confronted by three masked men who broke into her gated property on Winton Road in Bowdon at around 7am on Wednesday (23 September).

She was pinned down to the floor while the robbers pulled her expensive Rolex watch from her arm, police say.

The woman was left with minor bruising to her arm, and is said to be very 'shaken' and 'distressed' following the ordeal.

Detectives have released a picture of the gold watch, in the hope that members of the public might have seen it up for sale.

No arrests have been made and police say enquiries are ongoing.

Detective Constable Steve Matthias, from GMP's Trafford division, said: "The family are understandable very shaken and distressed from this ordeal.

"The woman was attacked by three men in her own home and we're determined to catch those responsible.

"Anyone who may have seen the watch or may have seen it up for sale should also contact us."

Anyone with information or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to call 0161 856 7533. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 .
