Police launch investigation after man's body found in Otley

Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was found at an address in Otley.

Emergency services were called to St Clair Terrace early on Tuesday afternoon.

They were responding to a report of a sudden death and on arrival they found the body of a man.

Enquiries are at an initial stage but his death is not believed to be suspicious at this time.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to St Clair Terrace, Otley, at around 12.40pm on Tuesday (27 July 2021) to a report of a sudden death.

"Emergency services attended and the body of a man was discovered."

The police spokesperson added: "Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the incident, but at this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious."
