Police launch investigation after man found unconscious in back street dies

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man found unconscious in a Bolton back street.

Officers were called to Hilden Street, The Haulgh, at about 2pm on Friday (November 26).

A 39-year-old was found with head and chest injuries and taken to hospital.

He has since died, police have confirmed.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called at about 2pm on Friday 26 November after a man was found unconscious behind Hilden Street, Bolton.

"The man, aged 39, was treated at the scene for head and chest injuries and taken to hospital, where he sadly died.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the man's death."
