Police launch investigation after gun shots fired at window of house in Salford

Police have launched an investigation after gun shots were fired at the window of a house in Salford.

Officers were alerted to the incident on Thornfield Crescent, in Little Hulton, in the early hours of Monday morning.

They found shots had been fired at a window of the property.

There are no reports of any injuries.

No arrests have been made.

The road has been sealed off with police tape and forensic officers can be seen searching the area for clues.

Residents on the street said they heard a 'loud bang' before police arrived to the scene.

Greater Manchester Police continue to investigate and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A spokeswoman for GMP said: "At around 12.35am on Monday, June 8, 2020, police were called to reports of a firearms discharge on Thornfield Crescent.

"The window of a residential property had been shot.

"Nobody was injured.

"An investigation is underway and no arrests have been made."
