Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was pulled from a water. Emergency services swarmed Huttock End Lane, a quiet residential street in Rossendale, on Tuesday (December 27).
Officers had been called shortly after 2pm to reports of a concern for welfare, where they later uncovered the body of the male in the water. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Images from the scene show a large police presence at the scene, beside Marshall's Buildings, close to Rosemount Working Men's Club in Stacksteads, LancsLive reports.

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact police as emergency services have urged members of the public to avoid the area. No further details regarding the deceased have been released.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We were called to End Lane, Bacup, at 2.21pm today (December 27) to reports of a concern for welfare. Emergency services have attended and sadly found the body of a man in the river.
"His death is currently being treated as unexplained. Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting log 601 of December 27, 2022."
