Police launch investigation after 14-year-old boy stabbed in Harehills park and boy, 17, arrested

An investigation has been launched after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in a Leeds park.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police were called to the incident in Harehills Park at 6.30pm last night (Wednesday) where a boy had been “assaulted with a knife.”

The schoolboy was found with minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested nearby in connection to the incident after firearms officers were deployed to the scene, and he remains in custody.

A scene is in place in Harehills Park and Harehills Cemetery to undergo a search.
