Police launch hunt to trace missing girl (14) who may have travelled to England

A search is underway to trace a teenage girl who was spotted at Stirling railway station.

Yasmin Mohammed went missing from her home in Alloa on Sunday.

The 14-year-old Syrian national was reported missing from her home at David Allan Drive.

Police have now released a CCTV image showing Yasmin at Stirling railway station around 8am on Sunday.

The most recent confirmed sighting of Yasmin was at Glasgow Queen Street station at 10.16am on Sunday.

It's believed she then intended to travel by train to England, possibly to the Bristol area. Enquiries are ongoing to establish her further movements.

Sergeant Fiona Picken of Alloa Police Station said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Yasmin as times passes and would urge anyone who may have information to come forward as soon as possible.

"She is seen in the CCTV image wearing the clothing she is last known to have been wearing. However, we believe she has other belongings with her and may be changing her clothing.

"If Yasmin herself sees this then please get in touch. You are not in any trouble, we just want to make sure you are safe and well."

Yasmin is described as 5ft tall, of slim build with, long black hair and brown eyes.

When last seen she was wearing a yellow or cream “G Star Raw” hooded top with a large logo on the front, light blue fitted denim jeans and dark coloured possibly “Converse” style trainers, though it is believed she may be changing her clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1925 of September 20.
