Police have launched a frantic search for a missing teenager who was last seen in Uddingston.
Jay Maguire's family are becoming increasingly worried about the 15-year-old's whereabouts after he vanished last night.
The schoolboy was last spotted on a bike in the South Lanarkshire town at around midnight.
He was heading to Bellshill but family say he 'didn't get there' and he hasn't returned home since.
Jay's mum Amanda MacDonald has been desperately trying to contact her son, but her messages aren't delivering which she says 'isn't like him at all'.
In a post on Facebook she said: "Guys if anybody has seen my Jay can you contact one of us please.
"Not been seen since midnight last night, messages not delivering which isn't like him at all.
"Police been looking from last night and no further forward.
"Was last seen in Uddingston on a bike around midnight last night said he was heading to Bellshill, as far as we know he didn't get there."
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Jay has been reported as missing and enquires are ongoing to trace him."
Anyone with information of Jay's whereabouts is urged to contacted police on 101.
