Police launch CCTV appeal after pensioner's wallet is stolen in Seaham Aldi store

Police have released an image of a man they wish to trace after the theft of an elderly man's wallet in Aldi.

Officers received a report of a theft which took place at 10.10am on March 25 at the supermarket on North Railway Street, Seaham.

Police are appealing for help in tracing this man in connection with the theft of a pensioner's wallet in Aldi in Seaham (Durham Constabulary)

The pensioner reported the incident to the police later that day.

Police are now appealing for the public's help and have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with their investigation.

A Durham Constabulary spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak with the male shown following an incident at Aldi, Seaham on the 25th March 2020.

"Should you recognise this male please contact PC 2887 Hanson by ringing 101 and quoting CRI00259434, alternatively private message this site [Seaham & Easington Police Facebook page] quoting the above number."
