Police launch bid to trace missing teenage girl in Fife

Police have urged the public to help find a missing teenage girl in Fife.

15-year-old Rhya Laidlaw  was last seen around 7.30pm on Wednesday in her home in Lochgelly.

Cops say there are "growing concerns" for her and have urged residents  to help trace her.

She is said to have links around Fife.

A statement from police read: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a teenager reported missing from Lochgelly.

"Rhya was last seen within her home address around 1930 hours on Wednesday 8th March 2020.

"The 15-year-old, has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for her welfare.

"Rhya is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with long brown hair. The clothing she is wearing is unknown at this time.

"Rhya has links all over Fife but mainly frequents Dunfermline, Inverkeithing, Cowdenbeath and surrounding areas, where she may have travelled by bus.

"Anyone who may have seen Rhya since this time, or who has any information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 4070 of 8h April."
