Police launch appeal to trace woman missing from Paisley

Police in Paisley are appealing for the public’s assistance to trace a woman reported missing in Paisley.

Soung Nguyen 49, was last seen in the Calside area around 9.40am on Sunday.

At this time she was walking away from Paisley town centre towards the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH).

She is known to go for walks in and around the vicinity of the hospital, along with the local parks.

Soung speaks Vietnamese and limited English.

She is described as being of slight build, around 4ft 11ins tall and when last seen was wearing a pink zip-up hoodie, black leggings, black socks and black sandals.

Sergeant Johnny Mullan, from Paisley Police Station, said: “Soung is known to go for walks around the Calside area of Paisley and we have a number of police resources out looking for her.

“We would ask anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the Calside area, or that around the RAH from last night or today, to check their footage and report any sightings of Soung to us as soon as possible so we can establish her movements in our efforts to trace her.”

Those with information, please call Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 1511 of 22 August.
