Police launch appeal for information after body of 32-year-old woman found on path in Hulme

Police have launched an appeal for information after the body of a woman was discovered in south Manchester last month.

At around midnight on Wednesday May 26, officers were called to a report of a concern for the welfare of a woman on a path between Moss Lane East and Caston Close in Hulme.

When officers attended the scene, the body of a 32-year-old woman was sadly found.

Police have said the woman's death is not being treated as suspicious however detectives want to speak to anyone who may have seen the woman on the path around the time of the incident.

Officers are keen to speak to one particular woman who was captured on CCTV near to the time.

Police have shared the CCTV image of a woman they are hoping to speak to who may be able to help with their enquiries. (GMP)

Detective Inspector Daniel Hadfield, of Longsight CID, said: "Following the review of CCTV footage, we are keen to speak with a woman described as white, with long hair, wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag on her shoulder.

"We believe that this person may have seen the woman while walking past the path at around 10.39pm and so may be able to help us with our enquiries.”
