Police launch appeal as Lanarkshire teen goes missing for second time in a week

A frantic search to find a missing 13-year-old girl has been stepped up.

Police in Wishaw are asking for help in tracing Kerys Lynch who went missing on Wednesday night.

Kerys is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, medium build, with dyed red/black hair.

When last seen she was wearing a green t-shirt with a black t-shirt underneath, grey leggings, black trainers, and a brown chequered ‘Gucci’ baseball cap.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told Lanarkshire Live: “We’re appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace Kerys.

“Kerys was last seen leaving Wishaw Hospital around 9.30pm on Wednesday (July 14).

“She also has links to the Ayrshire area.”

This is the second time in less than a week that Kerys has gone missing, and police are concerned for her welfare.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
