Police launch appeal after man injured in Mansfield 'street fight'

Detectives are investigating reports that a large street fight broke out on a residential area of Mansfield.

Officers were called to Newlands Road in Forest Town at about 7.30pm on June 3 following reports of a brawl.

Upon the arrival of police there was "no sign of disorder" but a man was found with cuts and bruises at the scene.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Sergeant David Prest, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are investigating following reports of a street fight in Newlands Road, Forest Town at around 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 3).

“There was no sign of disorder when officers arrived but a man had suffered cuts and bruises and was treated in hospital.

“Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone with any information that could help to contact us on 101 quoting incident 680 of June 3.
