Police launch appeal after man hit by car in Scots town

Cops have launched an appeal after a man was hit by a car in a Scots town.

The 33-year-old male was struck at around 9.50pm on Saturday, July 4 in Arbroath, Angus.

Officers from Police Scotland have now urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash on Grange Road to come forward with information.

No details of the type of car were provided by police.

The man sustained minor injuries.

A statement from Police Scotland reads: "Police in Tayside are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic crash on Grange Road, Arbroath where a 33-year-old man was struck by a car around 9.50pm on Saturday, 4 July, 2020.

"The victim sustained minor injuries.

"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4097 of 4 July.

"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed on anonymously."
