Police launch appeal after 'high value' equipment stolen from Perthshire farm

Police officers are appealing for information following a “high value” theft at a farm just south of Blackford.

A number of construction equipment was stolen at an estimated value well into five figures.

The incident took place at a building site on the farm sometime between 8pm on Monday, March 29 and 5am on Tuesday, March 30.

A house is being built at the location and officers believe that at least one large vehicle must have been involved in the incident, possibly more.

Tools and equipment taken include: a Dewalt chop saw, radial arm and stand; a Makita chop saw, radial arm and stand; four portable lights; two Paslode finishing guns; two Paslode framing guns; two Makita collated screw guns; a Stihl saw and blade; a petrol cement mixer; and numerous other fittings and fixtures.

A large freestanding bath weighing well over 100kg and an air source pump, planned for use within the property, were also stolen.

Police Scotland has asked anyone with any information to come forward by calling 101, speaking to any police officer or contacting the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.

The reference number for the incident is 0483 on March 30.
