Police launch appeal after driver followed home and assaulted in racist road rage attack

Police want to speak to this man in connection with a road rage attack in which a driver was racially abused then assaulted outside his home. It came after the victim was forced to brake suddenly when another car came skidding towards him on Church Road in Saddleworth, Oldham.

A man in the other vehicle then made what police describe as 'racial remarks'. The victim was then followed home to his driveway, where he was assaulted and the back window of his car was smashed.

The attack took place at around 4.30pm on Monday, July 19, 2021, but detectives have now released a photo in connection with the investigation.

Det Con Michael Radcliffe of GMP's Oldham division, said: "This renewed appeal comes after a male was interviewed recently in relation to this matter. This was a highly concerning and vicious incident which caused shock in the community and we will continue to work hard to bring justice for the victim of this attack."
