Police keen to trace woman who helped at scene of Helensburgh Pier death

Police are appealing to the public for help as part of ongoing enquiries into the death of a woman in Helensburgh.

The 25-year-old woman died on Friday, April 23, near the pier in the town and a 28-year-old man has already appeared in court in connection with her death.

She was named locally as Charmaine O'Donnell from Glasgow.

The incident was reported to police at 5.15pm and officers are keen to trace a woman who helped at the scene. She had an English accent and was wearing a lanyard round her neck.

Detective Constable Angela Tipping said: “We believe this woman may have important information that could help with our enquiries.

“If anyone knows her or the woman herself see this appeal, please call us on 101, quoting incident 2765 of Friday, 23 April, 2021.”
