Police jump aboard boozy ferry as massive razor blade brawl breaks out among passengers

Police stormed a booze-fuelled ferry party after a number of passengers were slashed with razorblades.

The boat was cruising in the waters around Block Island as it returned to Port Judith in Rhode Island when the fight broke out.

Cops are yet to confirm the nature of the injuries or how many people were assaulted, but initial reports said multiple people were left with razor wounds, NBC-affiliate WJAR News reports.

According to an ABC 6 reporter at the scene, cops escorted three people from the ferry in handcuffs.

The ferry departed from an area of Rhode Island popular for booze cruise passengers heading for beach parties.

A bar there was hosting a yearly reggae festival on the same beach.

A social media user tweeted the video, with the caption: “Block island [sic] never allowing Reggae fest again."

Block Island is a popular holiday spot just 9 miles south of Rhode Island.

It's only accessible by ferry or plane.

An early-hours brawl left a man "knocked out cold" in the middle of the road when violent thugs used belts, bricks and street furniture as weapons.

Restaurant Mesob, in Moss Side, Manchester, has been stripped of its alcohol licence following the horrifying incident, after authorities heard the venue was open four hours later than it should have been, at 5am.

The fight, which involved around 15 men, was reported by a council CCTV operator and as well as a member of the public, who passed the scene in a taxi.

The Princess Road venue failed to call the police during the incident, which was said to have begun after a group tried to force their way after they had been turned away.

Boss Kidane Mokonen - the premises licence holder - also failed to respond when officers arrived and knocked on the restaurant’s shutters in the aftermath of the melee, a town hall panel was told.
