Police job exam: Fake candidates held in West Bengal

MALDA: A fake candidate was arrested when he came to take the written examination to recruit police constables at Sadlichak High School under Harishchandrapur police station area in Malda on Sunday. The youth, has been identified as Akhilesh Jadav.

Another fake candidate from Bihar was arrested on Saturday while appearing for the Bengal Police Constable Examination on the Haringhata campus of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). Another 19 others were also arrested for impersonating or adopting unfair means to clear the examination.

MAKAUT was one of the 2,000 examination centres in Bengal. Around 1,200 candidates had appeared from this centre.
