Police issue witness appeal after burglary at Northumberland home

Police have launched an appeal for help with their investigation into a burglary in Northumberland.

Officers received a report of a burglary at an address on Brinkburn Crescent, Ashington, at around 8.50pm on Sunday.

It was reported that two men had broken into the address, taken a number of items and then fled the scene in the direction of Alexandra Road.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw two men acting suspiciously to get in touch with police.

Officers believe that one of the men fleeing may have almost been hit by a car as he ran from the address so police are also appealing for any dashcam footage or drivers to come forward with any information.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference number 1076 16/02/20.

Alternatively, you can pass on information through the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
