Police issue weekend dispersal order at Sale Water Park

A dispersal order has been put in place at Sale Water Park in Trafford over the weekend.

The order has been issued as police respond to reports of a planned car meet in the area.

The order will run from 7.30pm this evening (November 26) until 2am on Sunday (November 28).

The order covers the entirety of Sale Water Park, its car parks, and immediate access roads, including Rifle Road and Cow Lane.

Officers have issued the order under Section 34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, which allows PCSOs and officers to direct a person to leave a specified area when instructed.

The order has been issued on the grounds that behaviour could cause harassment, alarm or distress to the public.

A GMP spokesperson said: "A dispersal order has been put in place for Sale Water Park following information that a car meet was planned for this evening.

"The order will be in place from 7.30pm (26 November) until 2am on Sunday 28 November and covers Sale Water park, its car parks, and all immediate access roads to it including Rifle Road and Cow Lane."
