Police issue urgent East Midlands appeal for missing 12-year-old girl Kiera Spring

UPDATE: 10.20am - Police say Kiera has now been found.

An urgent appeal has been launched for a missing 12-year-old girl.

Police in the East Midlands are trying to find Kiera Spring, and issued a public appeal in the early hours of the morning.

LeicestershireLive reports the appeal has been shared by Northamptonshire Police.

Kiera was last seen in the the Irthlingborough area, a small town near to Wellingborough and Kettering.

A police spokesman said: "She is described as white, 5'7", slim build, long brown hair.

"She was last seen wearing black trousers, white shirt, blue jumper and a red puffa jacket.

"Should she be seen please call Northants Police on 101."
