Police issue urgent appeal to find missing girl last seen in Moss Side

An urgent appeal has been issued for help finding a girl who was last seen in south Manchester almost 24 hours ago. Greater Manchester Police says Marya was seen at around 6.45pm yesterday (September 6).

She was spotted on Westerling Way, in Moss Side, at that time. GMP says she was wearing a pink hoodie with blue denim jeans at the time, while she may also be wearing a scarf.

Marya, whose surname and age has not been given, is described as 5ft 1ins tall and of slim build. She has brown eyes, although GMP says Marya could be wearing blue or green contacts.

Police say they are becoming 'increasing concerned' about Marya and are appealing for help finding her. Anyone who sees Marya or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact GMP as soon as possible.

In a post on Facebook this afternoon (Wednesday), a spokesperson for GMP wrote: "Can you help us find Marya last seen in Manchester? Marya was last seen on Westerling Way in Moss Side at around 6:45pm on Tuesday, September 6 2022.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Marya and want to make sure she is safe and well. Anyone with information about Marya’s whereabouts should contact police on 101 or via the report function on our website."
