Police issue urgent appeal to find 11-year-old Jessica missing from Stockport

Police are desperately searching for an 11-year-old girl who has gone missing from Stockport.

Greater Manchester Police has now issued an urgent appeal for anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jessica.

The youngster was last seen at 5.30am this morning in Brinnington, Stockport.

At the time she was wearing a cream hooded top, dark trousers and was carrying a pink backpack.

She is also described as around 4ft 8ins tall, slim, with dark hair.

Sharing a picture in an appeal online, the force said: "#Haveyouseenthisgirl? 11-year-old Jessica was last seen around 5.30am this morning in #Brinnington, #Stockport.

"She is described as slim with dark hair, wearing a cream hooded top and dark trousers, carrying a pink backpack.

"Anyone with information, please call 101. Thank you."

In a Facebook post, Greater Manchester Police said: "Police are becoming increasingly worried about Jessica, and want to make sure she's safe and well."
