Police issue urgent appeal over 76 year-old missing woman with dementia

Barbara was located by officers on Wednesday evening police confirmed with officers thanking the public for their help

Police are appealing for help tracing an elderly woman from Bury who has dementia and who has gone missing.

Barbara Mather, 76, from Whitefield, was last seen on Saddlecote Close in Crumpsall at around midday today (Wednesday).

She suffers with dementia and may be confused Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

She does not have money or access to a mobile phone and she is not familiar with the area.

"Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Barbara and want to make sure she is safe and well" they added.

They are now asking anyone who sees or who may have information about her whereabouts to contact them immediately.

Barbara is white and around 5ft 4in tall with shoulder-length grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a bubble coat with flowers (as seen in the picture) and a multi-coloured knee length flower dress, with a small tan bag and black shoes.

Anyone with information about Barbara's whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 3924.
