Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses after a crash near Bury which left a biker with multiple serious injuries.
Emergency services rushed out to Rawtenstall, in Rossendale, at 6.49pm yesterday (October 27) following reports of a serious collision.
The crash, which took place on Bocholt Way, involved a BMW 520D car and a Ducati 748S motorbike.

Lancashire Police says that the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s from Rossendale, suffered multiple serious injuries following the collision and was taken to hospital.
He remains in hospital today (Thursday) in a critical but stable condition.
Nobody has been arrested following the crash and the driver of the BMW stopped at the scene, Lancashire Police says.
The police force is now urging anyone who may have seen the crash - or who might have video footage - to come forward as soon as possible.
Sgt Steve Hardman, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Lancashire Police, said: “This collision has resulted in a man receiving a number of serious injuries and my thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this time.
“We are now working to establish the full circumstances of what led to the collision and we would ask any witnesses or anybody with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact the police as soon as possible.”
