Police issue update on two-car smash in Kilmarnock

Police have issued an update on a two-car smash in Kilmarnock last night.

Cops said they attended the vehicle incident just after 6.30pm on Saturday evening.

An eyewitness reported hearing a loud bang before seeing two damaged stationary vehicles on the busy road.

A number of police vehicles raced to the scene of the crash and cars were uplifted shortly after.

Police say they have no details on injuries as a result of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 6.35pm on Saturday, January 23, police were called to a report of a two-vehicle road crash on Western Road, Kilmarnock.

"Emergency services attended and both vehicles were uplifted. No details on any injuries."
