Police issue update on missing man last seen in East Kilbride

Police Scotland have confirmed that a missing man has been found safe and well.

We told you on Thursday how officers had asked for help in tracing Gavin Shanley.

The 31-year-old had last been seen in the East Kilbride area on Sunday, May 10 with officers raising “concerns” for his welfare.

But new Area Inspector Stephen McGovern told the News that Gavin had been found safe and well.

Police thanked members of the public for their assistance in tracing Gavin.
