Police issue update on missing Cumbernauld woman

Police Scotland have issued an update on a missing 19-year-old woman.

A frantic search was launched to find missing Cumbernauld woman Faith Thomson on Sunday.

That's after she had last been seen around 8.30pm on Saturday in the town's Braehead Road area.

Speaking just hours after an appeal had been made to the public for information, police offered an update.

Inspector John O’Neill told Lanarkshire Live : “Faith, who was reported missing in Cumbernauld, has been traced safe and well.

"Thank-you for your assistance with this appeal..”
