Police have issued an update on an investigation following a baby's death.
Officers received a call from North West Ambulance Service at around 4.30pm on Saturday, January 1, after a three-month-old baby was reported to have died at an address on Goschen Street in Old Swan.
People living on the street told the ECHO at the time there were multiple police cars, police vans, ambulance and scientific support at the scene.

Eyewitnesses also said police were making door to door enquiries and left the scene at around 10.15pm on Saturday.
A force incident manager for Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO on Saturday a police investigation was underway following the incident.
In an update today, a Merseyside Police spokesperson said enquiries into this case "remain ongoing."
They added a post mortem has also taken place and the full cause of death is pending.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We can confirm that enquiries in this case remain ongoing – a post mortem has taken place and the full cause of death is pending."
On Saturday, a force incident manager for Merseyside Police told the ECHO: "Police received a call at 4.30pm in the afternoon on Saturday, January 1 after a report from the ambulance service that a three-month-old child had passed away.
"This is part of protocol for information to be passed on to police when something like this happens and officers attended the scene.
"A police investigation is now underway."
