Police issue update after teenager found with head injury in Leeds street

A man found a head injury in a Leeds street is thought to have fallen, according to police.

The 18-year-old was found injured on Queen Street, Morley on Sunday morning.

Police closed Queen Street, Morley as officers carried out circumstances into how the man came to be injured.

Initially, it was thought that he could have been attacked.

Today, West Yorkshire Police said it was believed that the man had fallen.

The spokesman said: "At 5.42am Sunday, police were called to Queen Street, Morley, where an 18-year-old man had been found with a head injury.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment. His injury was not considered life-threatening.

"A scene was put in place while inquiries were carried out to establish the circumstances.

"There was no indication of an assault having taken place and it is believed his injury may have been the result of a fall."
