In an update on Tuesday, December 29, Nottinghamshire Police says "no one was seriously injured" in the crash, which involved two cars and a tractor.

Highways England said all vehicles were recovered and the road was cleared shortly afterwards.

The A46 reopened just over an hour after the crash at around 7.20pm.

All traffic was held for the duration of the recovery which caused traffic problems from A6097 (Bingham) to B6166 Farndon Road - Lord Ted Roundabout, Newark on Trent.
