Police issue update after man dies on main road in Pudsey

West Yorkshire Police say there are "no suspicious circumstances" after a man died in Pudsey.

The 77-year-old man was pronounced dead after he was found unconscious in Swinnow Lane, shortly after 3pm on Sunday, April 19.

They cordoned off the road while paramedics performed CPR, but the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

A police spokesman said: "Police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending to a man found unconscious in Swinnow Lane.   

"The 77-year-old man given emergency treatment but was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

"There were no suspicious circumstances and the coroner’s office has been informed."

The man who died has not been named yet.
