An area of a Leeds retail park was cordoned off throughout the morning after a man was stabbed.

"The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were found not to be life threatening.

"Enquiries are ongoing by Leeds District CID into how the man came to be injured."

A LeedsLive reporter headed down to the scene, and had spoken to a number of locals.

One shopper when told what happened said: “F***** hell, it’s not safe anywhere. All I wanted was a look around TK Maxx.”

Another said: "I wonder if this had been targeted - it's scary to think these things can happen so early."

The retail park is now open fully with the police cordon being taken down as they continue with their investigations.
