A man who was arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in Whinmoor has been released on bail.
West Yorkshire Police were contacted by a woman in her 20s following the alleged attack on September 25.
The force reported between 10pm and 10.30pm she was subjected to the sexual assault on a grass verge at the junction of the A64 York Road and Baildon Drive, next to the Old Red Lion pub.
A man was arrested in connection with the sexual assault but the police say he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for the police said: "The man who was arrested has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
“Anyone with any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact us."
