Police issue renewed appeal for missing woman

Police in West Lothian have renewed their appeal for a missing woman from Armadale.

Catherine Gordon went missing from the Drove Road area of Armadale on Monday February 24 and now police are asking local people to check gardens and outbuildings.

The 64-year-old is said to be 5ft 4ins tall with short brown hair and was last seen wearing a grey long-sleeved floral top with black trousers and grey trainers with a velcro fastening.

A police spokesperson said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance so far and would urge residents in the area of Armadale to check their gardens and outbuildings for information which might assist in tracing Catherine.

“If there are any sightings, or if you wish to pass information to police regarding Catherine’s whereabouts, please contact 101 quoting incident number 2194 of February 24 2020.”

A family member said on Facebook: “We really appreciate all the communities support. We are trying to stay positive and thinking even although she had no bus pass or purse, she may have blagged a lift or got on a bus and just said she forgot her bus pass. In the meantime if folks could check their sheds, outbuildings or fields that would be great.”
