Police have issued a public plea in hopes of identifying a man who could possibly help authorities with their investigations into the tragic death of Audrey Griffin.
On March 23, the body of 19-year-old Audrey Griffin was found in Erina Creek on the Central Coast. Per The Daily Telegraph, Griffin was reported missing hours earlier and was last seen at about 2am at the Gosford Hotel.
Hours later, her body was found by police partially submerged in the water.

According to NewsWire, preliminary autopsy reports revealed that Griffin drowned.
Although Griffin’s death is not being treated as suspicious, authorities have continued to ask the public to come forward with any information surrounding the tragic incident.
Recently, Brisbane Water Police District released an image of a man police say was seen in the area at the time and may be able to assist with inquiries.
“He is described as having a dark complexion, medium build and wearing a red singlet, grey shorts, white runners, a white cap and carrying a black backpack,” the Brisbane Water Police District’s post reads.
Authorities also say they believe the man is not involved in the incident. However, they believe he may have information that can further assist them in identifying the events that led up to Griffin’s death.
“We are not implicating that this man was somehow involved in the incident, we have no indication of that,” Brisbane Water Crime Manager, Detective Acting Inspector Samantha Richard, said.
“We’re simply hoping he might have some information to help us piece together what has happened.”

Following her passing, Griffin has been remembered as a “loyal friend”, “a true sports champion” and “free-spirited”.
“Our friendship would have lasted a lifetime, and for that I’m forever grateful. Audrey has left an everlasting impression on everyone who met her — a loyal friend to many, who will be deeply missed,” Sammy, a close friend to Griffin, said, per The Daily Telegraph.
“Audrey, thank you for being my best friend. I hope we’re best friends in the next life too, and in every universe before and after this one.”
Anyone with information about the incident or dashcam footage from The Entrance Road, Erina is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or online.
