Police issue dispersal order around Salford estate after reports of antisocial behaviour

A dispersal order has been slapped on Salford’s Peel Park after reports of antisocial behaviour in the area.

The historic area behind Salford Museum and Art Gallery is one of the several locations included in the order.

The border of the area stretches from Frederick Road to all of Heath Avenue estate and walkways and footpaths around the River Irwell.

Under the order anyone involved in, or believed is likely to become involved in any antisocial behaviour can be asked to immediately leave the area by a GMP officer.

Residents have been advised to stop any patrolling officers in the area should they have any concerns or issues to raise.

Along with an image of the effected area, GMP Salford posted on their Facebook page: “A dispersal order has been put in place in the Heath Avenue Estate area of Lower Broughton after numerous reports of antisocial behaviour.

“Under the order anyone involved in, or believed is likely to become involved in any antisocial behaviour can be directed to leave the area immediately by a member of GMP.

“If you see an officer patrolling within the area, please feel free to stop them if you have any concerns or issues to raise.”

Anyone with information regarding antisocial behaviour in the area should get in touch via GMP website using the LiveChat function or by calling 101.

Alternatively you can report it anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
