Police investigating a collision which has left a motorcyclist seriously injured in hospital are appealing for witnesses.
Officers are especially urging anyone who might have dash-cam footage to come forward.
The rush-hour crash on Manchester New Road in the Alkrington area of Middleton led to the closure of the road, the main route between Manchester city centre and Middleton, for more than four hours.
Police have now released new information.
Officers, paramedics and the fire service were called to the scene near Alkrington Church at around 4.30pm on Tuesday.
The collision involved a red Toyota Yaris and a black Yamaha 125 Sports motorbike.
In an update on Wednesday, GMP said: "Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorbike – a man in his 20s - was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"He remains there in a stable condition.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
The road was closed between Mount Road and Mainway, with motorists advised to find alternative routes.

Heavy, queueing traffic was reported.
Police Constable Philip Shaw, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, appealed to anyone with information to get in touch.
He said: "Our thoughts are very much first and foremost with those involved in the collision and the man who is seriously injured in hospital.
"I would like to take this opportunity to stress just how keen we are for witnesses to come forward.
"Did you see either vehicle at around the time of the incident?
"Or, do you have dash cam footage that you think could assist our enquiries? If so, please get in touch at the earliest opportunity."
The motorcyclist hasn't been named and there have been no reports of any other injuries.
