Police issue CCTV images of men they want to speak with after thugs 'with gun' threaten four people at home

Thugs 'with a gun' threatened a group of four people at home in Wigan before making their escape in a flashy Range Rover.

Greater Manchester Police has today (October 22) issued a fresh appeal following an assault earlier this year - with CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the attack.

At around 2.50pm on Saturday, June 19, police were called to reports of an assault on Atherton Road.

GMP says two men - who were wielding a firearm - were outside of a property and threatened the occupants before pushing them and making off in a white Range Rover.

The victims - a woman in her 50s and three men aged between 20 and 40 - were not injured following the assault, but were left understandably shaken, police say.

No arrests have been made so far and police are continuing with their enquiries.

GMP is now urging anyone who recognises the two men in the photograph to come forward.

DC Christian Glover, of GMP's Wigan district, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victims who were made to feel afraid outside of their own home.

"We have been investigating this incident thoroughly and are now able to release images of two men we would like to speak to in connection with this.

"If anyone has any information that could help us to identify these two individual, please do not hesitate to contact us."

Anyone with any information about the assault should contact police on 0161 856 67182, quoting incident number 1875 of June 19, 2021.

Alternatively, information can be passed on anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
