Police issue CCTV image of man they want to speak to after reports person defecated in garden

South Yorkshire Police have issued a picture of a man they want to speak to after receiving reports that a person defecated in a garden.

It was reported that at 6.18pm on Wednesday October 5, a man defecated in the front garden of an address on Gawber Road, Barnsley. The incident, which is classed as a public order offence, is believed to be racially motivated.

South Yorkshire Police believe the man pictured could help them 'progress our enquiries.'

The public is being urged to get in touch if they recognise the man or if they have any information which could assist police. Information can be reported by calling 101.

A spokesperson for SYP said: "Our Barnsley team is looking to identify the man pictured, in connection with a reported hate crime.

"At 6.18pm on 5 October, it’s reported that a man defecated in the front garden of an address on Gawber Road, Barnsley. It is believed that the incident, which is classed as a public order offence, is racially motivated."
