Police issue appeal to the public to help trace Peebles man missing for over a week

Police Scotland have released an appeal to the public for information as they try to locate a missing Peebles man.

Officers have put out a call for any information that could help them find Thomas Bagan, who was last seen at the Crown Hotel in Peebles over a week ago on Friday, May 20.

The 28-year-old is described as being 5ft 10, with short dark hair and who tends to wear black clothing. He also often wears dark glasses and is usually unshaven.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Thomas or who has any information that could lead to him being found to get in touch with the police at 101 and quoting incident number 1037 of May 28.

The police currently believe that he may still be in the Peebles or the Venlaw area of the Borders.

Posting on social media, Lothians & Scottish Borders Police Division wrote: “Officers are looking to trace Thomas Bagan, 28 who was last seen at the Crown Hotel in Peebles on Friday 20th May 2022.

“Thomas is described as being around 5ft 10 in height with short, dark hair and tends to wear black clothing. Thomas is known to wear dark glasses and is usually unshaven.

“It is thought that Thomas may still be in the Peebles area and possibly in the Venlaw area.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 1037 of 28th May 2022.”
