Police issue appeal to find South Belfast man

UPDATE: Ian was found safe and well.

Police have issued an appeal to find missing South Belfast man Ian Shanks, saying they are "increasingly concerned" for his whereabouts.

The 46-year-old was last seen at 6pm today leaving his house in the Donegall Pass area.

Ian is described as approximately six foot tall and was wearing a light hooded top, light trainers and dark trousers.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are growing increasingly concerned regarding the whereabouts of Ian Shanks.

"He is described as approximately 6’ tall 46 years old, wearing light hooded top light trainers and dark trousers. He was last seen at approximately 1800 hours leaving his home address in the Donegall Pass area.

"If you have any information in relation to this please contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1509 of 28/12/20."
