Now GMP is calling for the public's help to trace Thorpe.

The force said Thorpe has failed to comply with the conditions of his licence, and is now wanted on recall to prison.

Thorpe is known to have links to Bury and Manchester.

A spokesperson for GMP Bury said: "Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a wanted male from the Bury area.

"Jason Thorpe was released from prison on August 23, 2021, after being jailed on June 8, 2021, for burglary.

"Thorpe failed to comply with his licence conditions and has been recalled back to prison.

"Thorpe is known to have links to the Bury and Manchester areas of Greater Manchester."

Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Thorpe should contact police by calling 0161 856 8257 or 0161 856 8141.

Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Details can also be passed to GMP's online LiveChat function.
