Police issue appeal for missing Kilmarnock man whose work van has been found in Perthshire

Police have this afternoon appealed for information as they bid to trace missing Kilmarnock man Ian Fowler.

The 39-year-old left his home in the town at around 6am this morning.

He got into his van and was expected to drive to work but when he didn’t arrive, colleagues reported their concerns to police.

Ian is white, around 5ft 8in tall and was wearing blue jeans and a hi-vis jacket.

His van has been discovered in the car park at the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre, Perthshire.

Officers are carrying out enquiries in that area in an effort to locate Ian and members of the public will see a significant police presence as officers try to find him.

The police helicopter is also being used in the search.

Police say Ian has been dealing with some personal issues and concern is growing for his welfare.

If anyone has seen Ian or who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please call 101 quoting incident number 0851 of 31 October 2019..
