Police have released an image of a man they are appealing to the public for help to identify after a sexual assault on a bus in west London.

A woman was sitting on the lower deck of an N9 service in Hounslow when a suspect sat next to her and kissed her on the face and put his arms around her.

The woman pushed him away several times before someone intervened and the victim got off the bus.

The alleged assault took place at around 2.50am on August 5 last year with the suspect boarding the bus at Hammersmith.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Potter from the Roads and Transport Policing Command said: “We are releasing this image in the hope someone will recognise this man and provide his details to police.

“Sexual abuse of any sort will not be tolerated and those who choose to engage in such behaviour must be held to account.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote 6592/11Jan.

To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
